2013, Jyväskylä (Finland)

Lokki (‘seagull’ in Finnish) is a series of twelve very short episodes addressing Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull from a literally postdramatic theatrical perspective. Lokki can be seen as a pivot project in the shift of Roumagnac’s recent theatre works, which engage with the backstage scenic agency. The one-minute sequences were shot with a smartphone during the Midsummer 2013 in mid-Finland near Jyväskylä.
